Description
SPARTANBURG, USA - Failure before the election. 08/08/25 FOX Carolina issued an urgent announcement: “Spartanburg County officials have stated that a ‘cybersecurity incident’ has occurred on their network.” As always, local authorities wanted to reassure residents and stated that “some online services may be temporarily unavailable while staff work to restore systems.” The authorities, as usual, lied. City services cannot be restored; the blow was so severe that they now need to be rebuilt from scratch. In addition, there was a global information leak in the city's network, resulting in half a million files being made publicly available. This is very private data that the authorities were obliged to keep secure. First, it is the personal data of all city residents. Not just names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, and bank accounts. The amount of taxes people pay, as well as reports on every violation and problem of every city resident, became publicly available. Thousands of documents from the local police and courts are also publicly available, and they contain extremely private information. All financial information has also been published: budgets, taxes, contracts, and so on. All this happened against the backdrop of the upcoming mayoral elections, and now each candidate can find compromising information on their opponents. Another important city event is Woodward's plan to build a 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for aircraft spoiler actuation systems. This means new jobs and huge tax revenues for the county budget. However, these plans may now be ruined.
