Cooptech Ltd., Hungary - For over 30 years, they have been steadily building their business. They started out as a small installation team and have grown into one of the leading corporations in their industry. And all these efforts have gone down the drain. Cooptech Ltd. was founded in 1992. Its head office is located in Dunaharaszti (Hungary). It specializes in the design, manufacture, assembly, and servicing of high-purity stainless steel systems. 30 percent of its customers are food companies, and 70% are pharmaceutical companies. In 2024, Cooptech Ltd.'s profit amounted to 544,449,000 forints (about $1.6 million). Needless to say, manufacturing equipment for the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries requires a high level of responsibility. And here, the company made a suicidal mistake. The company's information security system was completely rusted through and turned out to be as leaky as a sieve. Contracts and technological secrets, business plans and financial reports, loan agreements and even employees' bank details — all of this became publicly available. The reliability of such a business partner is zero. Its reputation is in tatters.
