Secure Land Communications (SLC), an Airbus business unit, has a significant presence in Mexico. SLC is the provider of the mission-critical communications network with Tetrapol technology, featuring end-to-end encryption (E2EE) and interconnecting 32 regional networks and more than 400 municipalities. It also provides the Tetra network in Mexico City, one of the largest in Latin America, with a capacity for 50,000 users. In 2017, it was registered as the first secure mobile virtual network operator, offering cutting-edge technology for the protection of citizens. In 2021, it launched its new MXWIDE offering, providing a secure communications solution to the business sector.
